[ANN] New Dialogs Unlimited FileMaker plug-in includes 60 new features and fixes
Valley Village, CA, June 21, 2010 -- Dracoventions announces the release of a
major new version of Dialogs Unlimited with 60 new features and fixes. This
FileMaker Pro plug-in allows the easy creation of dialog boxes containing an
unlimited number of controls including stylized text, buttons, fields,
checkboxes, radio buttons, and so on. Dialog controls automatically arrange
themselves to look great or you have the freedom to adjust size, margins,
line breaks, and so on. A public beta version is available for immediate
download at http://dialog.dracoventions.com dialog.dracoventions.com for
both Macintosh and Windows.
New Features
- New controls:
Radio buttons, password fields, and large, multi-line text input fields.
- Easy dialogs:
Now each control requires only two parameters - the control type and the
text it should display.
- Automatic layout:
Add as many controls as you like and they'll automatically align, size,
line-break, and position themselves according to Apple and Microsoft Human
Interface Guidelines.
- Increased flexibility:
There are now 80 optional named parameters to adjust the size, margins,
alignment, and position of controls or dialogs - even group controls to move
together or become equal in size.
- Easy results:
Save control results to 2empowerFM variables or get results by referring to
the control's text label.
- Easy documentation:
New, 73-page documentation gets you started quickly with step-by-step
examples. A second section demonstrates all sorts of advanced features.
- Screen scaling support:
Now includes full support for Windows DPI scaling on modern, high resolution
displays. Our dialog controls won't cut off text or display off center like
other plug-ins do when users scale up their fonts and controls.
More Features
- Floating dialogs:
Create multiple floating dialogs with instructions, links to more
information, or buttons that launch scripts.
- Stylized text:
Use stylized text in your dialogs with custom fonts, bold, italic, color,
bullet lists, and so on.
- Pop-up menus:
Include multi-level pop up menus.
- Keyboard shortcuts:
Add keyboard shortcuts that press buttons and toggle checkboxes.
- Progress bar:
A special progress bar dialog can tell users how much longer your script
will take.
