Clearing one entry from a value list
There is a checkbox field in my company's contacts database that is based on
a value list of 14 items. Multiple selections are allowed. I would like to
clear all selections of one item in the value list. I thought of doing a
Replace All, but when I do that all values are cleared, not just the one I
wish to clear.
I also tried deleting that item from the value list, thinking that would
clear it and then I could re-add it to the value list, but when I delete it
it simply gets moved to the "Other..." field, and when I add it back to the
list it is re-checked (indicating that value remains embedded in the
record).
Of course this could be done manually, but it would take several hours to go
through the many entries that have this field erroneously checked. Is there
a simple way to clear selection of one item in a value list without
disturbing other selections in the list for records that have multiple
entries?
Thanks very much,
Gary
