[FMPro] Can't change data-imported from Excel
FileMaker Experts,
I can't change data in one of my fields. This data was imported from an Excel spreadsheet. That cell/column was a formula in Excel. I'm guessing that's why it won't let me change data. It's a normal field on a data entry layout. I want to click in the field and edit the number.
Does anyone know if that's why? If that's how FileMaker is designed:
When importing from a formula, never allow that data to be changed?
The field is type: Number, so I should be able to change it.
Nothing is selected in Auto-Enter or Validation.
How do I set this so I can click in it and change the data?
I suppose I can do a "Work around:" Create a new field, move the data with Replace, delete the original, rename the new field exactly the same as the old one.
But I'm using that field in a calculation. It won't let me delete it.
Thanks for any help you can give,
Kevin
