[FMPro] How to do Path for attachment?
Send email script steps works great.
I have a database, with a layout showing fields for
To: and Subject: and Body
It works like a regular email program:
The user types in the email address, the subject and the body of the email.
When they click Send, it runs the Send Mail script step that puts that To, Subject and text into the right places in the script step and sends the email.
That works.
Now, the user wants to have the ability to add one attachment. In some emails.
I can show a field: Attachment Path, but:
Question:
Is there a user friendly way for the user to populate that field?
So it will work like an email program they are used to?
How would I have it; so the user can click a button "Attach file"
and have FileMaker open an "Open File" dialog box (or something)
Let the user click on their PDF file
Have FIleMaker put that path in the "Attachment Path" field?
The user can then click "Send email"
Thanks for any help you can give,
Kevin
