[FMPro] Updating files
I would like to get some tips on making updates to files used by
clients. When I make changes to a file, I need to get all the client=92s
original records into the updated file, without my being directly
involved and with minimal input by the client.
I currently have a setup that calls a series of scripts in the original
file that finds all records, then imports each table into the updater,
and finally saves a copy of the updater that overwrites the original
(making some backup copies along the way, of course).
How else do the pros do this? Is there a more direct way?
Thanks for your comments.
