Filemaker and the cloud
I'm an in-house developer for a school. Currently, I'm hosting about
18 solutions from FileMaker Server Advanced, and have a 30-user volume
license for FileMaker Pro. I do a minimal amount of web publishing via
IWP. I would be interested in the opinions of people who make their
living from FileMaker development. As cloud computing evolves, in what
direction do you see your development heading? More specifically, how
will you address the growing expectation that all resources be
available via the web, and the increasing resistance to installing a
"client" application? Will you continue to use FM as the back end? Why
or why not? If so, what tools will you use to develop the web interface?
Thanks,
dp
