Generate MySQL database from FileMaker Database
G'day all,
Please forgive me if the following questions are ridiculously basic, as I'm a newbie to SQL databases, (despite being pretty good at everything native FileMaker)...
I have a FileMaker database (file) with a number of tables and relationships in it.
I'm using MAMP to host, and MAMP and Sequel Pro to administer, MySQL databases on a Mac server.
I want to mirror a subset of the aforementioned FileMaker database to a MySQL database.
I'm then going to do some scripting in FileMaker to automate the periodic pushing of data from the FileMaker database to the MySQL database, using ODBC connectivity.
So, first thing I'm looking for, if possible, is a way to reproduce the schema that exists in the FileMaker database into a MySQL database so I don't have to type all the tables, fields etc. into the MySQL database manually.
If anyone can share any thoughts I'd be most grateful :)
