Open folder with Open URL
Windows XP, FM 10.
With the command "Open URL("file://path to folder") it is possible to open a certain folder.
However, at my client, this is not working with some computers, while it is working on others. Since I'm not a Windows Expert I really don't know what to do about this. FM Help says:
"Open URL supports http, ftp, file, and mailto URL types. For example, if the URL starts with http, FileMaker Pro opens the user's web browser and processes the URL.
Note FileMaker Pro uses the preferences stored in the Windows system file URL.DLL to determine the application to handle the URL. The URL is then passed to ShellExecute for execution."
Except for a reinstall of Windows on the affected machines, what is there to do about this? Ie, I want Windows to understand that "file://" should relocate it to a folder.
