Scripted import ignore first record confusion
(Man, I seem to be posting a lot the past few days, thanks everyone for your
generous help!)
I don't seem to be able to get consistent results when I script an import
from a CSV file without a dialog. I want the import to ignore the first
record (field names). Of course I can do this when importing manually or
allowing the import dialog within the script, but when I'm setting up the
script and go to specify the import order that option is grayed out.
Sometimes I seem to get it to work by having the script do the import with a
dialog, checking the Field Names option, then re-enabling "Perform Without
Dialog" and saving the script, but the results have been inconsistent.
What's the best procedure for this?
Thanks,
Gary
