Seating Plan
Hi all
I am working on a conference centre database.
They would like to be able to enter in how many tables will be in a
conference room, how may seats per table then choose from the registered
users as to who is sitting where.
So for example
Event: FileMaker Conference
Number of Tables: 10
Seats per table: 8
How would you go about structuring this? Could I get a layout showing all
tables with the correct number of seats so the user could just use a drop
down showing the registered users so the user selects who is at what seat.
It would be even better if once a user had been allocated a seat they were
removed form the value list.
The question may seem quite vague but I don't where to start on this right
from the structure of it so not quite sure the correct question to ask.
I guess I am just asking how you would go about this. What tables would you
create, would you use portals to show the different tables etc.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks
Ed
