Tracking document views
Hi all,
I have a very simple database whereby the database users upload PDF
documents to the database and complete a few fields about the document they
have uploaded.
Clients can access the database via the web (custom web publishing) to view
these documents (after logging in)
The client can then search for a PDF they are looking for (based on the
fields the users completed)
This returns a list of PDF's matching their search criteria
They can then click on the PDF to view the document.
What I am looking to do is to track which clients have clicked on which PDF
so I can run monthly reports on criteria such as PDFs viewed by client this
month, total views on a PDF etc.
I just cannot think of how I can log each time a PDF is accessed by a
client.
Any genius ideas anyone please?
Many thanks in advance
Ed
